In searching the web, we realized there was a real need for a website that was offering vintage items for sale by Quality Dealers who guarantee their listings.

One of the hardest decisions we made was to determine what the word “Vintage” would mean to a collector. We also knew that it would mean something different to each generation.

While older collectors do not feel toys such as Barbie and G.I. Joe are vintage, Barbie is turning 50. Our purpose was only to narrow down, what we felt vintage collectors were searching. We also knew that quanitites of “Limited Editions”, Franklin Mint, Danberry Mint and decorator items that can be readily found at flea markets and on auction sites, such as ebay. With that in mind, we decided on the year of 1970. Items made after 1970 will not be included on our site. Please check out our “Listing Policy” under the “Dealer” tab.

We also knew that it would be important to have quality dealer who had years of experience in the industry. When a dealer opens a shop on our site, the dealer agrees to our “Terms of Use” which state that they “agree in good faith to describe the items to the best of his or her ability and disclose any knowledge of restoration or replacement parts that may have been incorporated into the items”. This is their guarantee to you the buyer. Mistakes do happen and, we are all human. If a problem does arise, contact the dealer and explain the problem…please be respectful to the dealer.

Before you buy, you should be aware of the policies of the Shop, as for shipping, returns, taxes and payment methods. These are found by running your mouse over the box at the top left of the shop’s listing page. Also, as a buyer you will also need to register and agree to “Terms of Use” as a buyer. You do not have to register to shop our site. The buyer will also have to agree to “Terms of Use” of the site. You will be dealing directly with the seller in finalizing the sale. We want to see the hobby continue and we want buyers to feel comfortable in building relationships with dealers.

Now a little about us…the owners of icollect247.com. We are collectors and dealers who love the hunt. Collecting has been our passion for over 40 years. From owning an antique shop to doing shows, we have been beating the bushes for years trying to find antiques and collectibles. We authored a book “Collecting Paint Advertising and Memorabilia” and enjoy this business as a hobby. We, personally, look at each item before it is offered for sale.
