This is a hill climber trolley that was made by D P Clark of Dayton Ohio. It features a cast weight that will propel the toy across the floor when given a push, basically an early friction toy. It was made at the end of the last century and has a patent date of 1887. It is made of wood and tin with the wood as the base. It was repainted in much brighter colors than the plain original colors but is not ugly. Some of the original paint can be seen in the inside parts. One of the passengers head is missing but that is much better than most out there. There is some older dings and some of the paint is chipped. The hill climber drive set up works wonderfully and it will go for quite a while on even a single push, great toy to chase cats with.
