COCA COLA COKE 3 ORIGINAL TIN SERVING TRAYS 1938 1939 1941 AMERICAN ART WORKS. Here are three original serving trays from 1938-39 & 41. The first one is 1938. It features a woman wearing a yellow dress and matching hat. She sits in front of a green striped background and is holding a bottle of Coca-Cola in her hand. Reads Drink Coca-Cola. Trademark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. is marked inside the tail of the first C in Coca-Cola. The tray is in excellent condition for over 84 years old. Some scratches on the border. The paint in the field is very nice bold and beautiful, very light wear in the field. Orig light green back. No dents or dings. Measures 13 1/4 long and 10 1/2 wide. Next is the 1939 tray, 83 years old as well. Pictures a girl in a white bathing suit under a towel on a diving board enjoying a Coke. This tray also has some edgewear and some nicks in the paint in each of the corners. Looks like there was some residual glue from a sticker at one time under her chin. The field has light wear, the paint is bright and shiny. A minute ding just above the D in Delicious and Refreshing. Reads Drink Coca-Cola. Trademark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. is marked inside the tail of the first C in Coca-Cola. Also 13 1/4 X 10 1/2. Last is the 1941 tray, here is a winter scene with a girl sitting on a log taking a break from skating by having a Coke. The tray has pitting and some scratches. Some light edgewear, not to bad. Orig green grey back. No dents or dings. 81 years old. Reads Drink Coca-Cola. Trademark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. is marked inside the tail of the first C in Coca-Cola. The same measurement as the others. All are made by American Art Works Coshocton Ohio famous for their Coca Cola trays. These were won many years ago at Morphy auction house in Denver PA, known for their advertising auctions.
