Boston and Sandwich Cranberry Overshot Pitcher

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Dating to the late 1800's, this Boston & Sandwich cranberry overshot blown glass pitcher has a partially polished pontil and an applied reeded handle. The cranberry color at the double crimped top is very bright and vibrant, fading in color to the base where it appears almost clear. The overshot consists of tiny clear glass particles rolled on the exterior including the base. There are not cracks, chips or deep scratches. It measures approx. 7H and 7W including the handle.
