Item: 1961 Western Amateur WGA Contestant Money Clip
This is a money clip issued to contestants of the 1961 Western Amateur WGA tournament held in New Orleans (Jack Nicklaus won). The logo is in the center with WGA in green enamel. “Contestant” is above set in white enamel, which is chipped. “1961” is below, also set in white enamel. The face flips up and allows you to add or remove bills. When flipped down, a metal bar locks the bills in place. There would have been separate ones issued for officials. A hard to find piece for the avid golfer. It measures approx. 1 ½”H by 1 ¼”W.
