1940s London Post Cards Lot - 2 Raphael Tuck & Sons
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Offering a lot of post cards from London, England. These cards were sent home by a World War II soldier to his family in Marion, NY in 1944. Since these were war years the cards are printed in sepia tones and not color. Two of the full size cards are printed by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd. Only one card was actually mailed in 1944 and has a U.S. Army Post Office cancellation on it with FREE postage. Other cards were either brought home by the soldier or sent in another envelope. Lot contains the LETTER CARD fold out with 8 views, hand dated 10/28/44, 4 full size cards and 12 smaller views of London in the 1940s. Condition of all cards is excellent. pc421
