ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This unusual campaign package includes a Lodge bumper sticker(miscut), a plastic bottle cap, a 3 and a 1 pin and a 1 tab along with a folder promoting Lodge---- all pieces in original near mint condition.George was heavily involved in various political exposure and was the 1962 U.S. Senate candidate from Massachusetts against Ted Kennedy, marking the third time in history that the Lodges faced the Kennedys in a Massachusetts election. Previously, Lodge's father was the incumbent 1952 U.S. Senate candidate from Massachusetts against John F. Kennedy. Additionally, Lodge's patrilineal great-grandfather Henry Cabot Lodge was reelected for the same Senate seat as the incumbent 1916 U.S. Senate candidate against the Kennedy brothers' maternal grandfather, John F. Fitzgerald.
