Ambrotype/Daguerreotype of Lady w/ Black Wrist Bands-6

Item: Ambrotype/Daguerreotype of Lady w/ Black Wrist Bands-6
2 7/8 X 2 3/8, should be about a 9th plate photo of a lady wearing black wrist bands and wonder if it means she is in mourning ??? Just a thought, full case with a little loose binding but all still intact, the little delicate latch works and is intact, these go back into the early 1880's. In early 1880's the procedure was called Daguerreotype which was expensive and time consuming, in 1950 Ambrotype came about and used from there on as it was less expensive and less time consuming.
