Ice Cream Scoop Gilchrist #31 Springless
Item: Ice Cream Scoop Gilchrist #31 Springless
Patented by Raymond Gilchrist in about 1914, the model 31 was the first ice cream scoop to have a 'wiper in the bowl. Made of nickel plated brass with a wooden handle, the spring mechanism is hidden within the lever. The scoop measures about 10 5/8 inches long by 2 inches wide. This example is in excellent working condition with wear through to the brass on the lever and stalk and minor dings in the bowl. 3713-71QP
