MISTER SOFTEE CHILLEROO ICE ON A STICK WAX CUPS 1957-63 LOT OF 10 RARE MINT CUPS. New Old Stock, never used. In the late 1950's Mister Softee came out with the Chilleroo, what it was is an ice cup on a stick, the bottom had a special drip cover which kept you from getting all sticky. The instructions on the cup tell you to roll cup between hands, unsnap lid then pull on the stick. I guess in the heat of the summer and kids being kids it was easy to get your hands full of the sticky sugar water and in short order they were out of the Mister Softee line. The Chilleroo's came in five flavors Grape, Lemon-Lime, Orange, Cherry and Fudge. On the bottom it says 6oz special design cold cup made by Solo Cup Co, Chicago, no zip code. I tried to find out more about these since Mister Softee came around the projects where I lived as a child yet, I don't remember these. I could not find out anything on the internet. Lastly, I called Mister Softee still in business with the same family in New Jersey, they checked around and could not find any information or anyone that remembered these. The wax cups are a little taller than 3 inches, 2.5 inches across the top and 1.75 inches at the bottom. The box has some wear especially on the bottom. This deal is for 10 cups.
