Early Small Hardwood Bow Saw
Item: Early Small Hardwood Bow Saw
This small bow saw dates from around the turn of the twentieth century and has a three piece wooden frame, turned wood knobs with brass fittings, and a steel blade. The three wooden frame pieces are each stamped G. Priest, most likely the owner of the saw. The saw blade is only twelve inches long and a quarter of an inch wide so the saw was probably used for cabinet or furniture work. It measures eleven and a half inches tall by twenty-two and a half inches wide at the handle and is in excellent condition. The wire tensioner at the top of the saw is missing and has been replaced with a piece of twine to hold the saw together for display. 14917-51TT
