ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This rare late nineteenth century cardboard display box held 150 pieces of chewing gum. The lid has a colorful lithograph of a pretty young lady in a blue dress and the ends are inscribed Adams' Licorice Tutti Frutti Chewing Gum. Adam's and Sons was a New York based company that invented chewing gum during the 1870's. The box measures eight and three quarters inches tall by four and a quarter inches wide and is in good condition with wear, staining, and fading. 9582-51RP
