Manufactured around 1905 by the Kaufmann & Strauss Company in New York, this one sided embossed tin sign was a free premium, given away to customers by the C. D. Kenny Company, a wholesale grocer in Baltimore, MD. The sign has an image of George Washington, framed in a laurel wreath, with the Eagle and Shield emblem at the top and a ribbon inscribed Pater Patriae underneath. Compliments of C. D. Kenny Co. is inscribed across the bottom. The sign measures 6 7/8 inches tall by 4 7/8 inches wide and is in excellent condition with small corner bends, a little edge wear, and a couple of light surface scratches. It has a pair of holes at the top for a hanging string. 3728- QWT
