This rare salesman's sample demonstrates that traveling salesmen would peddle anything ! What we have is a sample of a ball toss target or punk for a carnival or country fair. It is made of hand painted stuffed canvas with a wooden base. It looks like a cat with a big blue bow. The full sized versions were trimmed with fur to make them look wider and thus harder to knock down. This example is only 5 tall by 2 1/2 wide and is in excellent condition.
