Gowns/hats were worn by Martha Washington-1789, Dolly Madison-1809, Sarah Polk-1845, Mary Lincoln-1861, Louise Adams-1825, Andrew Jackson's niece, Emily-1829, Sarah Van Buren-1839, Zachary Taylor's daughter, Betty-1849, Lucretia Garfield-1881, Helen Taft-1909, Ellen Wilson-1913, Grace Coolidge-1923, Lou Hoover-1929, Eleanor Roosevelt-1933, and Bess Truman-1945.
