Chicago Ohio/OH/O now Willard Souvenir Ruby Flash Cup
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Imagine you're on a long train ride headed to Chicago from back East. You fall asleep and are awakened by the conductor calling out "Chicago! Next stop Chicago!" You grab your bags and exit the train only to discover too late that you've gotten off in Chicago, OHIO! This was a common occurrence until the town's name was changed to Willard in 1917. Manufactured by US Glass in their "Arched Ovals" pattern, this ruby flashed souvenir mug has "Souvenir of Chicago, O" in white lettering. There is wear on the base and some to the flashing. There are no chips or deep scratches but there is a crack on the foot approx. ¼"W. You can see it quite clearly in the last photo. It measures approx. 2 ¼" H. Free shipping to US addresses only!
