ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This square cardboard miniature hat gift box, with a gray fedora inside, is decorated in red, white, and blue and dates from the 1950's. It has a trademark crest on the lid and sides and is inscribed a Champ hat. Champ was a brand produced by the LaSalle Hat company in Sunbury, PA. These miniatures were given as gifts to be redeemed for a fitted hat at the clothing store. The box measures about four inches tall by four and a half inches wide by two inches deep and is in excellent condition with some discoloration, edge wear, and a split corner on the lid.
