ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This rare die cut cardboard display box dates from the 1940's and originally held 24 5c packages of Planters roasted peanuts. It has a panel in the back with an image of a pretty young lady enjoying a bag of Planters peanuts and the inscription Planters always hit the spot. There are images of Mr. Peanut playing baseball and crack the whip on roller skates on the sides of the lid. These were made of a waxed cardboard and very view of this survived. The box is in excellent condition with strong color and wear and small tears on the edges and corners of the lid. It measures 7 tall by 9 1/4 wide by 3 1/4 deep. 8723-000
