A hard to find advertising item that would appeal to both soda pop collectors and smoking related collectors, this little bronze tone stamped tin matchbox cover was manufactured by J. E Mergott Company in Newark, NJ. and dates from the 1920s. Made to look like a tiny book or photo case, it has embossed images of a Nugrape soda bottle on both sides with the name of the manufacturer stamped in tiny letters on the spine. The cover measures two and three eighths inches tall by one and a half inches wide and is in excellent condition with a beautiful patina from spending years in someone's pocket . 3365-71TP
