ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Very rare circa 1930's cardboard display box with wonderful graphics that held 24 Planters 5c Jumbo Blocks, bars of peanut brittle. On the lid is a cutaway image of a peanut plant with the nuts growing amongst the root system and the inscription Planters Candy Jumbo Peanut Blocks. On the sides are images of Mr. Peanut smiling and pointing at a peanut block next to the inscriptions Wholesome crisp peanuts, pure candy. The ends are inscribed Planters Jumbo Blocks and have images of Mr. Peanut and a small bunch of raw peanuts. The box is in fair condition with two torn lid corners, soiling, fading, wear on the edges and corners, and heavy warping and creasing of the lid. 13134-21QPP
