Schepp's Cocoanut Advertising Tin Hudson and Duane St
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This late 19th century soldered tin can has a cone top and originally held Schepp's Cocoanut. The tin has a hilarious inset image of a baker licking a cocoanut confection that he has just created as a shocked coworker recoils at the sight. Banners on either side of the image are inscribed Duane St. and Hudson St., indicating the New York City location of Schepp's factory. The tin measures about 5 1/4 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with alligatoring on the top and scratches and dings on the sides. 3606-71QR
