Folk Art Hooked Rug Primitive
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
I have one of these great pieces of folk art hung above my door and it a great wall hanging. The folk art handmade hooked rug has a scene of a wonderful cottage on a country road and floral decorations in the corners. It is in excellent condition with great colors and no wear. Hook rugs were popular with housewives as creative ways to decorate their floor. My mom also did them in the 1950's and 1960s however, they had patterns printed on the woven material. I believe that one dates from the 1930's or 1940's. We have one of these folk art pieces as a wall hanging above the door. 6247-90QWT
