Vintage Madame Alexander McGuffey Ana 11 Inch - 1937

This is a vintage Madame Alexander McGuffey Ana in UNPLAYED WITH condition. Everything about her is EXCELLENT. Her hair is in the original set with original curled bangs, tight braids and original ribbons. You can tell the dress has never been off her and is still bright and stiff. Her underskirt of tulle is still present and is in excellent condition. There are no holes, tears or smells that I can find. Her eyes are bright and she has all her lashes. Her makeup is smokey and her cheeks have a touch of pink. She is tightly strung. The doll has the most minor age issues. She has just a couple of the faintest craze lines. You only can find them if you go hunting for them. The biggest issue is that the organza of her hat and her apron have yellowed with age. Under the apron is a very small area near the hem, that has aged unevenly. The Madame Alexander tag is present but is torn. Otherwise, this doll is amazing and is an important example of early Madame Alexander dolls. This doll appears on page 44 in the Madame Alexander Collector's Dolls by Patricia R. Smith.
