Purple 50th Anniversary Ohio Metal
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Circa early 20th century cloisonne decorated brass medal. It has a pin back bar at the top, decorated with lavender and teal green diagonal stripes. Attached below the bar is an embossed brass tag marked VRD and below that is a larger pendant, also decorated with lavender enamel. It is inscribed 50 in white enamel surrounded by a laurel garland. The back is embossed Ohio 600. I have not been able to determine what this medal represents, but it appears to have been a souvenir celebrating the 50th anniversary of some organization. It is an unusual item and that is in excellent condition. 7143-11T
