This an antique toothpick holder made by the Carlton Company depicting Jackie Coogan as The Kid from the silent Charlie Chaplin film made in 1921. The film was a huge success in the United Kingdom. This item is part of the line of Heraldic souvenir china made by the company that began in 1903 until 1926. This piece of Heraldic China has the correct smaller black version of the Crown mark and with Ware being replaced by China. The holder is shaped like a tree trunk and is emblazoned with the Brighton heraldic crest. I could not find any chips or cracks, or any rubs to the paint which is very bright.
