1902 Stamp Holder Coca Cola Celluloid Whitehead & Hoag
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This fabulous early piece of Coca Cola advertising, manufactured by Whitehead and Hoag in 1902 is a great example of just how diverse their marketing was. It is a little postage stamp holder with celluloid covers and was a free premium given to customers. The front cover, inscribed Compliments of Coca Cola, has an image of a young lady in a plumed hat enjoying a glass of Coca Cola at a soda fountain and the back has an image of an obelisk with the amounts of Coca Cola consumed per year from its invention listed on the side with 1901 468,411 Gallons inscribed across the bottom. The stamp holder measures two and a half inches tall by one and a half inches wide and is in excellent condition with minor wear. Someone has scribbled notes on the heavy paper sheets inside that separate the postage stamps. 3434-71WTP
