ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This is a remote control battery operated toy of the famous Smoky Bear. Toy was made by SAN Co. of Japan in the 1950s. Smoky stands 9 tall and has 4 actions. He walks forward, raises the pipe to his mouth, pipe lights up and he exhales smoke as the pipe is lowered. Material is plush and felt over a tin body and his nose is rubber. Hands, pipe, shovel, hat, shoes and eyes are lithographed tin. Condition is near mint with a slight crack in his nose due to ageing rubber. Battery box is very clean.
