ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Offering the mechanical windup toy Dancing Couple. Toy is lithographed tin with vinyl heads. Logo on the toy is HTP standing for Hikari Toy Products but the actual manufacture of the toy is TPS (Tokyo Plaything Shokai). TPS made toys for other toy companies, including Louis Marx of the USA. Dancing Couple was introduced in 1960s. When wound with the attached key the couple moves across the floor, spins around twice via a lever extending from the base, and repeats this dancing action. Size is 5.5 tall 2.25 in diameter not counting the key. Condition is excellent with minor play wear. pc421
