Rogers Smith Co. Silver Plate Napkin Ring Lily Pad 1890s
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Offering a silver plated napkin ring holder from the Victorian age, late 1800s. Napkin ring was manufactured by Rogers Smith & Co. in Meriden, Ct. In 1857, William Rogers and George Smith founded Rogers Smith & Co., in Meriden, Connecticut. They worked together until 1898 when they were bought out. This quadruple plate napkin ring is mounted on a lily pad with a lily bud. The bottom is marked with a shield and inside the shield is Rogers Smith & Co. Meriden CT Quadruple outside the shield is the number 168. On the top is a decorative engraved floral cartouche with monogram Lottie. Base pad is approximately 3 inches in diameter and the height is 2.25 inches. Condition is very good with a slight dent in the top off to the right of Lottie and up. pc421
