ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Donald Duck Drum Major wooden toy made by Fisher Price in 1939. The toy number is 463-550 and marked W. D. Ent. (Walt Disney Enterprise). With this marking the toy was issued at Easter only in 1939. Markings are reversed for Easter issues in 1940 & 1941. Donald rides on a painted wooden base 7.5 inches long and 3 inches wide. The wheels are painted wood. The wooden Donald is covered with lithographed paper and stands 8 inches tall. Overall toy is 10 inches tall from the ground to the top on his hat. Condition is excellent with two small wood chips at the top of his hat, see photos. Original pull string is in place.
