Linsco Auto Oil Soap 5 Pound Pail with Lid Automobile Soap

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
How many of us actually know what auto oil soap is? I'll admit, I did not! On the side of the pail, the directions say This soap is made from absolutely pure Vegetable oil and is positively neutral and impossible to harm any painted surfaces. The crowing rooster head logo is a bit strange for a car wash soap, but must have had importance with the Linsco products. This soap was guaranteed and manufactured by W. R. Lins Manufacturing Co. in Roxborough, Phila, Pa. Very nice lithograph pail complete with the original handle and the top. The pail has some places on the sides where it looks like the auto oil soap has run down the side of the pail and left marks. The colors on the front of the pail are a bit lighter than the rear of the pail, so it may have some slight fading to the printing. Just a couple small dings from the past and some slight chips in the paint. Amazing shape for the age of this pail, and a great conversation starter! 17970-02QYT
