Penny Coin Op Safety Match Dispenser Porcelain Base
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Great looking and working penny match coin op dispenser that would have sat on the countertop in your local smoke shop or tavern. Dating from the 1920's probably, you would put a penny in the slot and slide the bottom lever to gain access to a box of matches. This machine works great and the lever moves freely once you drop a penny in the slot. The base and the top are porcelain and the sides of the machine are metal. It has had an older restoration to the metal sides and the graphics on the front of the machine. We have the key, and the inside looks as good as the outside. A few small scratches on the metal case where the back panel has been removed to add matches. From what we can tell, this is a rarer machine, as it has two dispensing ports, instead of the normal four. The two windows are plastic, as they would have originally been glass. Very cool conversation piece for your home bar! 18007-02RPP
