This is Gertie the Galloping Goose, a wind up toy, made by Unique Art Mfg. Co. in the 1930s. Gertie is made entirely of lithographed tin and measures 9.5 inches long 4 inches high. When she is wound with the attached key she gallops along pecking the ground and raising and lowering her head rapidly.
