ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Ceramic Arts Studio (Madison WI 1940-55) created many beautifully detailed animal salt & pepper sets including some snuggles - 2 pieces that fit together. This mother monkey (4 tall by 3 wide) holding baby monkey (2-1/2 tall by 2 wide) in her arms with baby's arm curling around her were made in 1950. Studio mark on bottoms as shown. This set was purchased in a gift shop at Wisconsin Dells May 1950.
