We are offering the cast iron toy Chester Gump in his Pony Cart. THE GUMPS was a cartoon comic strip started in 1917 and ran in many newspapers nationwide until 1959. Chester was the son of Andy and Min (short for Minerva) Gump. The Chester Gump in his Pony Cart was manufactured by the Arcade Manufacturing Company in 1927. Material is all cast iron. Overall length is 7½ x 3¼ wide and stands 4½ tall. Chester stands in his simulated wicker cart pulled by his pony. Toy is all original with NO chips, cracks or missing parts. Original paint does have chips. Shipping to the west coast will be $23.60; your ZIP may be cheaper. pc421
