ANTIQUE MACY'S HERALD VACATIONER STEAMER TRUNK CHEST TAYLOR FIBRE CO 30's EXC COND. A vintage vacationer trunk by Taylor Fibre Company. This piece is black with all the brass tone corner brackets, rivets, and latches. It is made of heavy fibre and metal, with leather handles. It is large 36" long x 20.5" wide x 21.5" tall. Has the front latches and lock, there is no key and the lock doesn't lock. The leather handles are old and dried out. Has the brass for the handles. Brass hinges on the back. Bottom is nice as well. This trunk is in remarkable condition. The interior is in great condition and has the removable tray which is also in great condition. The trays and interior feature a patterned blue paper covering. The trunk is marked "Genuine Vulcanized Trunk Fibre Binding Made by Taylor Fibre Co". This trunk was sold exclusively by Macy's Herald Square at least 80 years ago if not older. First time offered. It has been inside my house for over 20 years.
