ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This new old stock salesman's sample kit, with its original cardboard shipping box dates from the 1930s. The kit, inside a black case inscribed simply Archer on the lid, consists of labeled vials and tins containing examples of the petroleum products produced by the Omaha, NE. based Archer Oil Company, a refiner best known for producing aircraft and industrial grade petroleum products. There are 20 vials with cork stoppers and paper labels identifying the contents and 4 round grease tins, also with paper labels. Closed the case measures 10 inches tall by 11 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches deep and is in excellent condition with minor edge and corner wear and a little fading on the top.
