Manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag in Newark, NJ. in the late 19th or early 20th century, this rare celluloid pocket mirror has a wonderful image of a nymph, resting against a bar top next to a box of cleanser. The Bar - Keeper's Friend is inscribed on the front of the bar beside her. Inscribed around the edge of the pocket mirror is George Wm. Hoffman Co. Indianapolis, IND. Mr. Hoffman was a chemist who invented The Bar - Keeper's Friend, a scouring cleanser still being produced today. The pocket mirror measures 2 1/8 inches in diameter and is in near mint condition. 3774-71QPP
