ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Because Bire-ley's was a lesser know soda in the 1940's they tried different ways of advertising to compete with Coca-Cola and Pepsi. This extremely rare tin sign features four different varieties of Bire-ley's drinks - Orange, Grape, Grapefruit, and Tomato. The sign has small metal tabs on the inside of the sign so the grocery store could use interchangeable paper or cardboard signs to deliver a different message or use for a sales promotion. By doing this it would turn this tin sign into a miniature billboard that would hang on the wall. Some small nicks around the outside of the lip of the sign, with some small bends on the lip in various places. A few scratches in the blue outside with some small chips at the top above the wording. This sign is a great size also, measuring just under thirteen inches tall and just under twenty inches long. We have never seen one this size in our travels. 18318-WWTP
