ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This pair of new old stock cardboard free samples dates from the early twentieth century and holds samples of Dr. LeGear's medical products for animals. The first tin has an image of Dr. LeGear pointing to a barnyard scene where a man is tending to a bleeding horse. It is inscribed Dr. LeGear's Antiseptic Powder for use on live stock. It's primary use was for treating barbed wire cuts. The tin measures two inches tall by one and a quarter inches in diameter. The other tin has an image of a pasture with live stock and fowl in the background and Dr. LeGear holding a chicken in the foreground. It is inscribed Dr. LeGear's Lice Powder. The tin measures two and a half inches tall by one and five eighths inches in diameter. Both tins are in excellent condition with minor discoloration and surface rust on the bottom.
