Arden Quart Milk Bottle Wartime Meal Planning Arden Dairy
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Many collectors know that milk once came in glass bottles and was delivered daily by the milkman. When the milkman dropped off fresh milk, they picked up the empty bottles and took them back to the dairy to wash and reuse them. This glass milk bottle is from Arden Dairy and is embossed with Arden's logo, along with One Full Quart on the front, and a silhouette of the Arden's boy on the back. The bottle also features the Arden boy on the front in red, along with Food For Victory on the back. The back is very cool because it reminds you Careful Wartime Meal Planning Will Help Us Win and shows a table full of food with a quart milk jug. Because of this, the bottle dates from World War II (1939-1945). The bottle has a small hole and a crack in the very bottom that has clear tape over it to protect it from more damage.
