American Art Works Tray Pre Prohibition Christmas
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Manufactured by the American Art Works in 1910, this rare tin serving tray has a wonderful image, titled Auld Lang Syne, of a pair of St. Bernard dogs, sitting at a table, enjoying steins Lager Sparkling Ale of beer and smoking Perfecto cigars. The rim is inscribed Annual Greeting B. F. Ross Elwood City, Pa. Christmas 1910. The tray was probably a free premium, given away to customers by Ross, a wholesale building supplies dealer. The tray measures 13 1/4 inches square and is in excellent condition with surface crazing and nicks and wear on the rim. Excellent condition. 3663-71EPP
