ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This neat framed paper doll calendar was produced in 1917 by Swift's Premium Ham and Bacon as a free giveaway to young girls. This piece has April, May, and June calendar pages from 1917. She had outfits that contained the other months of the year on them and the girls could dress her in appropriate fashion for the season. Some small folds on the top of her head and a crease in her neck show that she was played with a few times. Some chipping on the nose of her face can be seen, and you can see light pencil marks on the days of the month, as they crossed each day out when it was over. It also has some minor bends on the bottom corners of the paper doll. This great piece has been framed to preserve the history and protect this fragile piece. 18645-TP
