ITEM DESCRIPTION:

MARX HUBERT HUMPHREY ERROR PRESIDENTIAL GALLERY STATUES SEALED CASE OF 24 FIGURES 1968. Marx made these plastic figures of all the presidents up to Nixon. They are 2.5 inches tall and hand painted in a bag with a header card. The 1968 election was very close and Marx decided to make statues of Nixon and Humphrey. Humphrey of course lost the election and these figures were never issued to the general public. They have been labeled as error statues ever since. This box is sealed with the Parade of Presidents seal that is torn about a third of the way but, still fully sealed. The box itself has light wear with H Humphrey and #37 on all 4 sides. I presume that the figures inside are mint as issued in 1968. Truly a rare error case of figures that has never been opened and are almost 56 years old. Please check out my other vintage toys.
