Small vintage bi-fold brochure titled "The Secret of Dry Cleaning" by the Monroe Drug Company of Quincy, Illinois, manufacturers of Dry-Clean-O and Putnam Fadeless Dyes. "For years the secret of dry cleanin has been closely guarded, because there are big profits made in dry cleaning. Dry cleaning is just as easy as laundering when you know how. The secret of dry cleaning is in using Dry-Clean-O, a soap-like substance, which when added to gasoline removes all dirt from the goods just like ordinary soap does in water." This Dry-Clean-O is being offered to the general public for the first time at a cost of 50 cents per can, which is equivalent to $10 in dry cleaning. The front pane of the brochure has the title as well as "Grand Leader, St. Louis, MO." The back pane has an advertisement for Putnam Fadeless Dye. This brochure is undated.
This brochure is in good used condition and measures approximately 3.25" wide by 5.50" tall when closed and 6.75" wide by 5.50" tall when opened. The brochure has edge nicks, small tears and corners clipped.
