The illustration shows a 6-8-6 type locomotive. Cover is canceled with a New York World's Fair RPO mark dated August 14, 1939. Addressed to an individual in Westfield NJ. Included is a filler card with the following information: Railroad Exhibit, New York World's Fair 1939 - US Railway Post Office Car, NYC 4868. See the historic, colorful pageant, Railroads on Parade, presented four times daily. Cover measures 6.50" x 3.50". Cover is in good used condition with surface wear and soiling/stains.
