1960 Coca Cola Fishtail Metal Sign Of Good Taste Coke
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This fantastic Coca Cola fishtail sign will look lovely in your collection, but make sure you have a place for it, because this sign is large! Measuring sixty-three inches long by thirty-two inches tall you need plenty of room to hang this big boy! It's easy to see what influenced the design of the fishtail logo in the late 1950s--automobiles in those years were sporting dramatic tail fins inspired by fighter aircraft of WWII and modern rocket designs. The fishtail logo was introduced in 1958 and continued until 1965 when the iconic red button made a comeback. This sign is metal wrapped around a wood frame to give it stability when mounted on the side of the general store. It is marked AM 80 in the lower right corner, as it was manufactured by Allen Morrison in Lynchburg, Virginia. Just some slight marks on the surface of this beautiful sign from storage with a small dent above the a in Coca. The colors are vivid and this sign will add color to your collection!
