ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Circa 1890 soldered tin, approximately 1/2 gallon, that held Rogers Stainfloor transparent finish, manufactured by Detroit White Lead Works. It has a paper label in the front, yellow with red lettering, with Aesthetic style decorations. On the back is a label with directions for applying the finish to different varieties of wood. It has a soldered cork top and a loop handle embossed Detroit White Lead Works. The tin is in good condition heavy staining and some loss on the labels and minor surface rust on the tin. 12243-01RP
