ITEM DESCRIPTION:Offering the mid century Violinist tin wind up toy from TPS of Japan. Toy is in near mint condition. When wound with the attached key his right arm moves the bow and the body moves with a vibrating action. Violinist was made in 1956 by Toyplay (TPS) Ltd. of Japan. TPS logo on his back just below the key. The box that comes with the toy is for the Trombone Player. TPS also made a Trombonist and it is not uncommon that boxes were mixed up in packaging. If the Violinist box wasn't available that day they used what ever they had on hand. pc421
