SHOOTING BEAR TARGET GAME IN BOX W/ SEALED GUN& DARTSTIN TOY 1950s HARD TO FIND. Here is a real nice near mint Bear Target Game. I don't think it was used since the dart gun and darts are still in the bag. All tin litho, battery operated 1950's Modern Toys Japan in box. The toy is clean and nice. The back of the platform is pushed down a bit, it may have been made that way to simulate the ground. This is the only one I've had so I have nothing to compare it to. It works but sporadically it doesn't always start up when the drum hits up against his belly. When it does he drums very fast with only one stick hitting the drum a little while the other one misses. I guess it could be bent down but, I didn't want to do it. I think the metal striker in his belly may need a slight adjustment. Works better when the drumhead is not installed. The instructions say shoot his tummy and he beats the drum. There is no plate on his tummy so, I will presume that you have to shoot the drum which pushes against the tummy. I am really not sure. There is a small spot where the drum head hits the belly. The drumhead has some light wear with a tear below the plastic protection as well as some tack holes on the other side. When working he beats the drum quickly as his head turns. Lighted eyes don't work. It's a rather large toy 9.5T X 7W. The box has wear and tears, the top has been relined. Some moisture stains. May sound like a lot of issues but, it's a hard to get toy that may be new old stock or used very little over the last almost 70 years. Very clean, no rust or corrosion.
